Heart-shaped cake

For Lindsey's 7th birthday (2/13/2009), she requested a heart-shaped cake, since she is an almost-Valentine baby! With a heart-shaped pan this was fairly simple and we added a large round layer underneath for added cake! We frosted it with our homemade buttercream frosting. As you can see from this post and the earlier one of Mallory's cake, the girls started a tradition this year that I love... they cut and serve their own birthday cakes! They enjoyed this so much and with the slices that they cut, there wasn't alot of leftover cake!
