Wilton Class #2 Final Cake
This was my final cake from last night's final Wilton Class #2. I have learned so much in both the first and second classes. This class was all about flowers! We learned: roses (on this cake), lilies, violets, apple blossoms, daisies, pansies, and then finally this basketweave design that I put on the side of my cake. Definitely a challenging class, but fun! This cake is very yummy, we're working on finishing it off now. Chocolate inside and out!

Mom & I are still learning!
Those button looking flowers you see - I made those on the first night of our second Wilton Class. The first class was all about decorating and frosting the cake with a flower or two at the end of the last class. This class is ALL flowers. Wow, it's exhausting. The next flowers are pansies. One of our Girl Scout leaders is taking the class with Mom and me. During one of our classes, we decided to put all our flowers from that night on a cake for the other Girl Scout leader - it was her birthday the next day and we were having a meeting at Jackson's Orchard, so we put our new flower skills to good use on a pretty cake for a good friend :) By the way, these flowers were made with fondant, which has no taste, but looks pretty.
Kayla's Birthday Cake
Here are a few pics from Kayla's birthday cake from August 18th. I baked and frosted the cake, Mom added all the pink border and did the writing. I can't remember who did the flowers - oh well, one of us did. We learned how to make these ribbon roses in our first Wilton class!

Angela Surprise Birthday Party
Back in May, I made these cakes for Angela's surprise birthday party. They turned out nice and I believe were the first square cakes I've made.
